
The Lighthouse Club Manila runs several academic scholarships to support young Filipinos through their educational journey.

Lighthouse Club Manila’s educational scholarship activities are supported significantly from LHCI, which has two regional benevolent funds which provide significant funding in support of Club academic sponsorships around the region being
-
James Battersby Educational Trust, and
-
the Asia Pacific Region Benevolent Fund.

The Scholarships must be in line with the eligibility criteria of the Lighthouse Club Manila and the respective Funds. The Scholarships are between the Club and the Scholar and/or parent or guardian. A summary of the respective supporting Funds are:
James Battersby Lighthouse Club Educational Trust (JBET)
is a Hong Kong Registered Charity (No. 91/5101) which is dedicated to:
A. Assisting with the training in the construction industry of young people in the Asia Pacific Region who are suffering hardship as a result of the death or injury or illness of a parent or guardian;
B. Assisting with the education of children in the Asia Pacific Region who are suffering hardship because of the death or injury or illness of a parent or guardian who was employed in the construction industry.
